Kirklees Youth Council

Members of Kirklees Youth Council and the College Network Group met with Adrian Lythgo on 29th June 2012 to discuss their work around ‘improving transport’.

The shared all of the information they have collected about transport over the past 2 years. They also discussed the projects they had worked on with Metro and ideas that could futher improve transport for young people in the future.

They covered the key messages from young people that transport is expensive and that substantial discounts usually stop when young people turn 18 or leave college. They also discussed how expensive transport could be for young people in employment and young apprentices.
